The Curious Creative believes that education begins with a single question:
Who is the learner?
We partner with families to build fully customizable learning experiences — not worksheets, not one-size-fits-all curricula, but living, breathing educational journeys shaped around the unique mind, heart, and spirit of every child. Because when we understand who is learning, the what takes care of itself.
Our Vision
Rebecca has been an educator for fifteen years and recently moved from the Midwest to Charleston, SC. She holds a Bachelor's in Theatre and Business, a Master's in Education, and is currently working on her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction. She is a creative and passionate educator who has been a strong advocate for students' academic and personal growth. In addition to teaching, she is skilled in directing theatrical productions, fostering an inclusive environment that nurtures creativity and teamwork.
She has taught every age from Kindergarten to Twelfth grade, and regardless of age, she has always believed that all students benefit from the arts.
Her teaching and curriculum philosophy is rooted in the works of leading academic thinkers, including Elliot Eisner, Paulo Freire, Rousseau, and Pestalozzi.
She believes that using the arts as a mode of teaching enables students to gain a deeper, richer understanding of any academic subject.
